This trip offers a great look at the Daintree area, is a very easy tour, and includes a nice sit down lunch at the Heritage Resort. For those of you seeking a bit more comfort, but still wanting to get "out bush", this is a very good choice
The Mossman River Gorge is the first stop on the safari.
This gorge is a great example of lowland tropical rainforest, and the opening created by the river through this dense forest makes for some unusual and scenic vistas.
The next stop is at the Daintree River, where a small ferry will shuttle the land cruiser across the river, and the track will lead on to Oliver Creek.
The next stop is for a quiet cruise on Cooper Creek, which lies in the Cape Tribulation National Park, and has been protected because of the number of unique plant and animal species found there. It is a classic example of lowland rainfores.
There's also a great sit down lunch at Heritage Lodge, a small boutiquestablishment right in the middle of the forest.
The trip continues on to visit beaches and outstanding sites, the turnaround point being Emmagen Creek, a beautiful small creek winding though dense rainforests. From there the vehicle turns around, and brings you back home.

Daintree Tours is a small, family-owned and operated company that specializes in very high quality small group four-wheel-drive tours. As four-wheel drive owners ourselves, we still marvel at the impeccable cleanliness of theirfleet of6 passenger and 16-passenger 4-wheel drives; despite the roads they drive daily the vehicles are spotless!
We love the backcountry, and especially like the fact that Daintree Tours limits group size to just 16 passengers, assuring a close-up experience with this beautiful country, and the individual attention of their knowledgeable and experienced guides. De Luxe Safaris has been operating since 1999.
