The Trip
The Mulgrave Valley Trip is a half-day trip, which follows the Mulgrave River. The trip starts on a rural paved road, then onto a dirt road as it follows the river up to its source. There is an optional loop of jungle single track, and a beautiful swimming hole at the halfway point. The ride ends at another kind of watering hole, the Mountain View Pub, a beautiful little rural pub.
This trip is given a 2-3 rating by Dan, meaning that it is mostly dirt or paved road, with some hills of moderate slope. It is largely not technical riding, and few people (ONLY 1-3%) come off their bikes on this trip.

The Company
This locally owned company is the product of the imagination and energy of it's owner and operator Dan Foley. We have known Dan for over 10 years, mostly due to our common interest in mountain bike touring. Dan leads a very upbeat trip, and we still marvel at the way his charm can encourage people to try and succeed at riding trails that they think are too difficult.
Dan runs a variety of mountain bike trips, of varying difficulty, and through all kinds of terrain. The equipment he uses is basic durable stuff. The bikes are steel framed bikes with front suspension, perfect for his operation. Racers may find the equipment a little less fancy then their sleek bikes back at home, but will still feel challenged by the riding. Group size is 10 or under, ably guided by Dan and his trusty offsider Damon.
Dan feels that his trips are appropriate for anyone who is active in sport or exercise 3 times per week, and asks that participants be in good health and able to ride a bicycle. The minimum age for these trips is 12 years.
