One Day Great Barrier Reef Dive Trip
Book This Trip
This trip is aboard Odyssey H2O, a 50 foot Mono Hull with a maximum of 30 divers and a Dive Staff of 3. It is for 1 day, and allows 2 dives.
Departure is from your Cape Tribulation lodging, Cape Tribulation at 8:00 AM Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, return time 3:00 PM.
We like diving out of Cape Tribulation, as it's an easy and great day out. The Great Barrier Reef is close by, reached in just 45 easy minutes by the Odyssey H2O. The two reef sites the boat visits, Mackay and Undine Reefs, have great visibility and have always provided great diving during our visits.
We also love the views of the scenic jungle-clad mountainsides, which makes the trip out a scenic cruise, not just a commute out to the Great Barrier Reef.
The crew of Odyssey H2O take good care of their guests, and while you are not in the water, by providing morning and afternoon tea and snacks, a buffet lunch, and a marine biology presentation.
The Odyssey H2O is a great dive platform for visits to the Great Barrier Reef from Cape Tribulation. This 50 foot boat is well-suited to making a quick 45-minute trip out to the reef, and providing comfort and easy water access for the 26 divers and snorkelers she can accommodate. There is ample enclosed space on board for staying out of the sun and wind, as well as a stern-width water level entrance platfrom at the rear of the boat.
