This trip is aboard Spoilsport, a 100 foot Catamaran with a maximum of 29 divers. It is for 8 days, 7 nights, and allows 25 dives, plus 5 night dives.
Departure Information
Departure is from Quarter Deck Marina, Townsville at 8:00 PM, return time 3:30 PM.
The Dive
Not many (How about no other?) dive trips pack so much fine and varied diving into a single dive trip. On this trip you will make up to 25 dives, including the following.
Dive outstanding outer Great Barrier Reef dive sites such as Dip and Myrmidon Reefs.
Dive The Yongala Wreck, likely the most outstanding wreck dive in Australia.
Dive the Flinders Reef Complex out in the Coral Sea, where visibility is always amazing, (40m and over), walls that drop off to 300m, abundant large pelagics, and do a shark dive at scuba zoo.
Depending on the conditions you will head out even further into the Coral Sea to visit Herald and Dart Reefs, remote and isolated reefs visited only by this dive boat.
 Alternate destinations include rarely visited reefs on the outer Great Barrier Reef.
We don’t know of any other trip that encompasses this much varied and outstanding diving; this is truly an ultimate dive trip.

The Boat
Mike Ball advertises this dive vessel as "four star" and it is an apt description for this large, stable and extremely well furnished. At 100 feet in length with a 36-foot beam, this powerful twin hull boat makes for a stable and fast dive platform. There is plenty of space for the 29 passengers. All rooms and cabins are air-conditioned. Ten crewmembers supervise the dive, and care for the cabins daily. A lounge and bar, wave skis, and E6 photo processing and a full range of dive gear are additional features making this an award-winning dive vessel.
