It is for 1 day, and allows 2 dives. Departure Information Departure is from Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns at 7:30 AM every day, return time 4:30 PM. The Dive We really like this trip! On board Ocean Freedom you have all the comfort and speed of a larger vessel, but the group size is limited to just 65 divers and snorkelers so there’s plenty of space and the feel of a small group size, friendlier, a little more relaxed, time to get questions answered and lots of service and attention. The boat runs with high staffing and service level, so everything on board, the dive gear, the guided diving and snorkeling, the food, and more is top notch. The two dive sites on and near Upolu Cay are good ones. We like Upolu Cay, both for the beach experience and calm waters that families and reef visitors can enjoy, as well as the good diving and snorkeling it affords. The second location, a bit further off from Upolu Cay, also offers great diving and snorkeling. The Boat We really like Ocean Freedom as as dive boat. It's a fast boat, so the trip out to the reef seems short and smooth. The size of the boat (24 metres = 79 feet) is big enough to be comfortable, spacious and a good ride, but small enough to maintain the small group feel and buzz. Entries to and from the water are easy, and there's choice of shaded, sunny and enclosed air conditioned seating.
