This trip is aboard Spirit of Freedom, a 122 foot Mono Hull with a maximum of 26 divers and a Dive Staff of 3. It is for 4 days, 3 nights, and allows 8 dives, plus 2 night dives.

Departure is from Trinity Wharf, Cairns at 11:30 AM Mondays, return time 12:00 PM.
The Dive
The Cod Hole is probably Australia’s best known dive location, famous for it’s family of resident Potato Cod, which can run up to 100kg in size. What is less well known is how many other great dive sites are found in this region, which lies 150-200km to the North of Cairns.
The Ribbon Reefs are a string of narrow reefs, stretching southward from Cod Hole towards Cairns. They offer good visibility and the great diversity of marine life the Great Barrier Reef is known for, as well as a variety of coral formations, which vary from undulating plains of huge plate corals, to coral-clad pinnacles, caves and canyons.
This trip offers a chance to combine outstanding diving, great comfort, and a high service standard as well. It is truly an outstanding dive travel opportunity. This four-day trip has three dive days, with the fourth morning being a spectacular low-altitude flight back to Cairns, with scenic views of both the Great Barrier Reef, and the rugged wilderness coastline.

The Boat
The Spirit of Freedom was added to the Cairns dive fleet in 2002. She is a beautiful vessel, custom built by her first owner and lovingly cared for. Recently our of a major refit, the boat is a beauty.
The boat has 11 cabins, each with it's own bathroom/shower. The cabins are all spacious, air-conditioned and nicely appointed. There are three separate decks, giving a great deal of room to roam. The boat includes electronically activated huill stabilizers, which combined with her 122-foot length make her one a very stable and comfortable dive vessel.

About Spirit of Freedom
Spirit of Freedom is a relatively new company in Cairns, spun off in 2002 from Tusa Dive, one of the most respected dive operators in the area. Using Tusa Dive's fine model as a guide, the Spirit of Freedom's aim is to provide a superior livaboard dive experience for their passengers, and for the past two years has been doing just that.
