You can find more information about the boat trip that is a part of the course by going
This course includes dives aboard Silversonic, a 95 foot Catamaran with a maximum of 8 student divers. The dive trip included in the course is for 4 days (note: return to town overnight), and allows 6 dives.
Tech Dive now uses Silversonic for all their ocean diving. Silversonic is operatied by Quicksilver dive, and she's a 95-foot powered catamaran capable of cruising at 28 knots, it makes the trip out to the reef in just 70 minutes, which gives you more time on the reef. High-tech ride control technology makes for the smoothest ride possible out to the reef.
Silversonic, while licensed to carry many more passengers, takes a maximum of 80 visitors out to the reef. This means there is extra space for everyone, and guarantees that there will be a ratio of 8 persons per crewmember or better.
Small details of the boat also make a difference. Fresh water showers enable divers to rinse off themselves and their gear. We like the fact that there are multiple change rooms onboard, as well as a submerged dive platform that allows for easy entrances exits by divers and snorkelers.
