5-day AUSI Learn to Dive Course
Includes 3-night Great Barrier Reef trip, Anaconda III
With this course you are combining a dive certification course with a comprehensive sail/dive tour of the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef.
New courses start weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
By completing this course will have your AUSI open water certification, which is recognized worldwide and allows you to dive at depths to 18 metres.
This dive card carries with it the same rules and responsibilities as the equivalent PADI, SSI, or CMAS certification.
The first two days will be your pool and classroom instruction. At the end of the second day you’ll board the Anaconda III, your home for a 3-night exploration of the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. You’ll do the 4 ocean training dives that complete your certification, and do at least one additional dive as a newly certified diver.
You’ll also get to visit and explore some of the scenic highlights of the Whitsundays, including Whitehaven Beach, as well as several other great stops.
This course includes dives aboard Anaconda III, a 101 foot Mono Hull Sailboat with a maximum of 10 student divers. The dive trip included in the course is for 5 days, 3 nights, and allows 5 dives, plus 1 night dive.
Anaconda is a 101-foot (31-metre) mono-hulled sailbout, designed and outfitted to be a comfortable liveaboard dive vessel.
With 13 cabins, all air-conditioned and with ensuite toilet/showers the boat can accommodate up to 32 guests. There's ample salon and deck space, and some nice features for divers: on board air compressor, two tenders, and a rear stairway for easy entries and exits to the water.
For more info about this boat, see the floorplan.
