This trip is aboard AS 350 Eceuriel, a 35 foot Jet Helicopter with a maximum of 6 divers and a Dive Staff of 1. It is for 1/2 day, and allows 1 dive.
Departure is from Cairns General Aviation, Cairns at 12:30 PM every day, return time 5:00 PM.
This great trip gives you time for a leisurely breakfast and stroll in the morning, then fly off for an active afternoon on the Reef. A pickup from your accommodation gets you to the airport in time for a 12:40pm departure, for a scenic 20-minute flight out to the Great Barrier Reef.
After landing on the floating reef helipad, you will transfer over to Down Under Dive's boat, Evolution, where you will get to enjoy lunch and an afternoon snorkel. Once your day is done enjoy the live entertainment with your wine and cheese as you cruise back to Cairns.
Depending on the number of passengers Nautiulus Aviation selects the heli they are going to use from the extensive fleet of high tech heli's based here in Cairns.
Down Under Dive operates the boat used on this trip, the Osprey V. This sleek boat can make the trip as or more quickly than any other dive boat, and provides a comfortable ride for up to 120 divers and snorkelers. Itís an air-conditioned 98-footer, and uses a unique computer-controlled set of hull stabilizers to smooth out the ride.
