What Could be Better Than a Holiday on the Great Barrier Reef?
We just received this note from Michele and David, two Californians who just spent their holiday in Australia.
As a part of their trip they took a 3-day/2-night Dive Trip on the Reef Encounter, operated by Compass Cruises.
We book a lot of couples onto this boat, as it has plenty of spacious cabins with double beds, and each cabin has itís own bathroom and shower. The service level on this boat is a step above many of the budget-priced live aboard trips operating in the region, and the shuttle-style itinerary, where the Compass day dive boat shuttles divers to and from the live aboard boat means that a trip aboard the Reef Encounter fits any itinerary easily. Compass offers trips from 2-4 days in length, and even has luxury level service packages and the option to take a helicopter to and from their live aboard boat.
Thatís our take, now letís hear from Michele:
"Thanks for all your help setting this up. It was amazing to see all the fish! We swam with Nemo, turtles, sting rays and even sharks! I've attached some pictures of "Frank" the fish and our guide, Santa Claus. Frank likes to play with the divers. It was fun to pet him and swim around with him. As you can see, Santa was nice enough to let me borrow his hat."
"The service on the boat was so much more than we expected. The chef was great and even made us Christmas dinner with ham, turkey and all the fixin's. The guides were top notch and very knowledgeable about the area. Our room was spacious and clean. The morning dives were the best with great visibility."
"This was the best part of our 2 week vacation to Australia. What a great way to spend Christmas!"
