Cape Tribulation, an Adventure Travellerís Paradise.
While Cape Tribulation might be a relatively small area, thereís quite a number of activities you can do in the area, ranging from wild to mild.
Ocean Safari operates a half-day snorkelling tour of the area thatís a great morning out. The reef is very close to shore here, so itís just a half-hour trip out to see Nemo and friends.
Thereís innumerable ways to explore the surrounding Tropical rainforests. There are short walks on several board walks up and down the coast. Thereís informal tracks to swimming holes and beaches, very challenging hikes such as the track up to Mt. Sorrow ridge, or you can just walk down the roads in the area and view the forest.
For the more adventurous thereís Jungle Surfing, a high adventure ropes course in the forest, sea kayaking, horseback riding, guided wildlife tours, creek and river cruises, and even 4WD tours on the rough dirt track that leads north from the Cape.
