Reef Report for Wednesday, February 21, 2001
Are We Over The Wet Season Blues?
Another weekend is upon us, and the clouds seem to be not so threatening. As the conditions turned fairer during the week, we saw an increase of visitors to the reef. Divers were enjoying up to 15 metres visibility on the reefs.
Moray eels, colouful clownfish and plenty of parrotfish have all been sited
The weather folk suggest an increase in winds of up to 20 knots, blowing Southeast. Scattered showers are predicted. So get in there while the sun is shining!
The weekly reef report is written by Sue-Anne Chapman of Pro Dive Cairns, who compiles them from the many conversations she has with divers, dive instructors, captains, and others in the Cairns dive community. The report is published weekly in the Cairn Post, the local daily paper and appears here thanks to the courtesy of Pro Dive Cairns.
