3-night Cod Hole Fly/Dive Trip
Mike Ball Dive Expeditions
Book This Trip
This trip is aboard Spoilsport, a 100 foot Catamaran with a maximum of 28 divers. It is for 4 days, 3 nights, and allows 9 dives, plus 2 night dives.
Departure is from Mike Ball Dive offices, 2/3 Abbott St, Cairns, Cairns at 7:00 AM Mondays, return time 9:30 AM.
This 4-day trip gives you access to some of the best diving the Barrier Reef has to offer on a short-term liveaboard trip. The first leg of your trip is a low altitude plane flight, which cruises over the reef and along the beautiful coastline, landing at Lizard Island.
From there you board the Spoilsport and visit dive sites while you travel south towards Cairns.
All the dive sites visited are part of he Ribbon Reefs section of the Great Barrier Reef. These dive sites are well known for the diversity of corals, reef fish, and pelagics. Because of their location further from Cairns and Port Douglas these reefs get less diving pressure, and have better visibility than sites closer in.

Spoilsport is an extremely well furnished stable boat that makes for comfortable living and easy diving. At 100 feet in length with a 36-foot beam, this powerful twin hull boat makes for a stable and fast dive platform. There is plenty of space for 28 guests, including both air conditioned lounges, open air sun and shade decks, and well-appointed cabins. All rooms and cabins are air-conditioned. Twelve crewmembers supervise the dive, and care for the cabins daily.
